Strategy
Tide Command
★★★★☆ 4.2
Tide Command is a slower, thoughtful strategy game. You manage a fleet across a scatter of islands, deciding where to send supplies, where to build, and when to push into contested waters. Everything happens on a clean map you can zoom and drag with one hand.
The AI opponents force you to plan a few turns ahead. I lost my first campaign badly because I overextended, then came back with a defensive playstyle and slowly strangled the enemy's routes. That comeback moment is what hooked me.
There's a campaign and a skirmish mode, both entirely offline. Sessions can be short or long depending on the map size, which suits phone play well.
What we liked
- Deep supply-line planning
- Skirmish and campaign both offline
- Readable one-handed map controls
